Three first-year master’s students in Naval Architecture have completed a five-week internship at ICEPRONAV Engineering SRL in Galați, Romania.
During the placement, the students were introduced to the activities of the Initial Design Department. Supported by experienced mentors, they gained hands-on experience and developed their understanding of the professional environment and processes involved in ship design.
The internship gave the students an opportunity to connect their academic studies with practical experience. Through their participation in the department’s activities, they gained insight into the role of naval architects within a professional ship design organisation.
For ICEPRONAV, the programme provided another opportunity to support the professional development of future naval architects and share the knowledge and experience of our team.
We thank our Initial Design colleagues for their guidance throughout the five-week programme and wish all three students every success as they continue their studies and future careers.
