ICE has just started a new internship program, aiming at providing valuable on-the-job learning opportunities to students and recent graduates while also creating a talent pipeline for potential future employees. Five students and one fresh graduate from the Faculty of Naval Architecture of the Galati University were selected after an interview process and were assigned to a department relevant to their field of study, where they can put their recently gained theoretical knowledge into practice. This new program is different from ICE’s much larger intake of student for internship training during the summer months. The new interns will learn from an assigned engineer and contribute to project work while receiving practical training in design processes. The program’s schedule is flexible, and the interns will be paid for their time.
The interns are pictured here together with ICE representatives (from right): Dragos Totolici, Initial Design Department Manager, Petrica Necula, Engineering Director, and Sorin Enache, Principal Engineer and Internship program supervisor.
