Recently, two representatives from Babcock International Group visited ICE in Galati to explore areas of renewed collaboration. The visit included meetings with ICE senior management, a tour of the ICE main office building and an overview of ongoing projects.
Babcock International is a multinational corporation headquartered in the United Kingdom, operating in four sectors: marine, land, aviation, and nuclear.
ICE has earlier worked in the UK as a subcontractor to Babcock, most recently on design of the two Queen Elizabeth Class aircraft carriers built at Babcock’s yard in Rosyth, Scotland. Together with a gas technology company since acquired by Babcock, ICE some years ago designed a large Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) carrier for a Japanese shipyard.
