Having actively supported Constanta Shipyard (SNC) in the design of the yard’s latest series of product/chemical tankers, a team from ICE was invited to the naming ceremony of the “Histria Atlas” in Constanta, Romania on 11th of April. The first of the series of 40,000 tdw IMO 2 vessels, the “Histria Atlas” is built in accordance with RINA Classification Society and Liberian flag rules. In his speech at the naming ceremony, Gheorghe Bosinceanu, Chairman of SNC, praised the ships outstanding cargo capacity, high degree of automation, excellent fuel efficiency and full compliance with the highest environmental standards.

ICE’s scope of work included the development of an AVEVA Marine 3-D model for the engine room of the ship, detail design drawings and development of production information. This project is the latest example of ICE’s long-standing relationship with SNC, which both parties are actively working to extend to new opportunities.
