We are pleased that the Royal Institution of Naval Architects has included the “Histria Atlas”, built by Santierul Naval Constanta (SNC) in Romania, as one of its “Significant Ships” for 2019.

This is the first in a series EcoMax-class MR1 product tankers. The ship was designed for a maximum cargo intake while still being able to operate in ports with shallow draft limitations. She is RINA classed and has an overall length of 180 meters, a beam of 32.26 meters and a scantling draught of 11.20 meters, with ten (10) epoxy coated cargo tanks.

SNC is one of ICE’s long-standing shipyard customers. ICE’s scope of work on the “Histria Atlas” included the development of an AVEVA Marine 3-D model for the engine room, detail design drawings and development of production information.

The pictures show the ship and the ICE team at the naming of the ship.
