ICE congratulates Mate Lukas, ICE’s Country Manager for Croatia, for having successfully completed the demanding Executive Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme at the internationally accredited COTRUGLI Business School in Zagreb, Croatia.

The MBA programme, based on intensive week-end residential sessions complemented by numerous home projects and studies, had sixteen modules focused on Strategic and Financial Management, Leadership, People Management, Digital Transformation, and Entrepreneurship.

Mate in 1995 earned a degree in Naval Architecture from the Zagreb University and has since had a comprehensive shipbuilding career as ship manager, project manager, production manager and design department director. He joined ICE in 2019.

Mate had planned to take advantage of the slow-down of business resulting from the Covid pandemic to complement his practical management experience with the theoretical MBA backing. However, almost as soon as the MBA Programme started, Mate was assigned to a key coordinating role in ICE’s largest LNG-related project. With the spare time gone, he nevertheless did his job in the fast-track LNG project as well as completing the MBA Programme on schedule. Well done!

With his added managerial skills, Mate is now well prepared for the upcoming challenges involved in re-activating and growing ICE’s Branch Office in Split.
