With effect from February 1, 2025, Robert Swan has retired from his Isle of Man-based position of President and Chief Operations Officer (COO) for the ICE Group. To provide continuity vis-à-vis ongoing projects, he has agreed to continue to serve the Group in a part-time position as Senior Consultant, and as a non-executive director of ICE Limited. As such, Robert will continue to oversee performance of ongoing contracts and will advise on upcoming and ongoing contract negotiations. He will also have more time to head up ICE’s ad hoc consulting assignments related to shipbuilding technology and management, and hopefully also to spend time on the ocean-going sailboat he acquired two years ago in preparation for his retirement.
At a recent dinner in Galati attended by the senior management team and the project managers of ICEPRONAV Engineering SRL, Steinar Draegebo, Chairman and CEO of the ICE Group, expressed his appreciation for Robert’s hard work and dedicated service to ICE over nearly twenty years, and thanked him for his willingness to continue to support ICE and its customers in a consultative role.
