With the ramp-up of new contracts over the next two months, ICE has decided not to have its traditional three-week summer close-down this year.

Sorin Brazdis, Director of Operations at Icepronav Engineering commented: “The last months most of our employees have been engaged on in-house projects, including updating proprietary designs such as our 84,500 cum LPG carrier and 50,000 tdw chemical tanker to reflect new rules and to incorporate up-to-date energy-saving features. We have also encouraged our employees to take their holidays earlier than normal, so that we will have experienced engineers available in all departments to quickly build up resources for projects that we have had “in the pipeline” for some time and that are now turning into firm contracts”.
