As an experienced designer of passenger ships, ICE is familiar with SOLAS requirements for Safe Return to Port (SRtP). Over the next weeks, our employees will become equally familiar with ICE’s own rules for “Safe Return to Office”, spelling out how to minimize the risk of Corona-19 infection when most work will again be done in the office. The preventive measures include matters such as social distancing, wearing masks, temperature screening, frequent office cleaning, etc.

Having imposed “work from home” procedures for almost all employees since mid-March this year, ICE is keen to ensure that its record of no Corona-19 infection of any of its employees is maintained.

Violeta Dimideschi, Director of Administrative Services of ICEPRONAV Engineering SRL, the ICE Group’s largest subsidiary, commented: “With our large office facilities, we can easily provide the recommended physical space between work stations and meet the other recommendations for a safe working environment. We acted early and decisively to avoid any of our employees being infected; understandably many employees as well as customers want to see things return to normal and in doing so the health and safety of everyone must be our priority.”
