ICE’s Romanian office recently had the pleasure of a visit from a delegation from Saipem’s offices in Milan and Paris, together with a representative from Moss Maritime, Saipem’s Norwegian subsidiary.
ICE’s cooperation with Saipem started almost ten years ago with conceptual design and pre-contract analyses of a large FPSO newbuilding. During 2006 and 2007, ICE successfully undertook basic and detail design for two FPSO conversion projects for Saipem, performed in Dubai. More recently, ICE has assisted Saipem with development of a proposal based on adapting one of ICE’s generic FPSO hull designs to meet the requirements of an oil major.
