ICE recently had the pleasure of hosting a combined delegation from International Maritime Industries (IMI) and Bahri, two Kingdom of Saudi Arabia -based marine industry leaders, for a 2-day visit to its design office in Galati, Romania.
IMI, one of the world’s largest integrated, full-service shipyards, is a joint venture between Saudi Aramco, Lamprell, Bahri and Hyundai Heavy Industries. IMI builds and provides maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services for a wide range of vessels, including VLCCs, bulk carriers, offshore support vessels, and offshore jack-up rigs.
Bahri, formerly known as the National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia, is an award-winning marine transportation and logistics company with a world-class fleet of VLCCs, chemical/product tankers, multipurpose vessels, and dry bulk carriers.
The visit was a follow-up to a joint visit that IMI and ICE had in early 2024 to Bahri’s office in the UAE.
